The Second Grade Party
One of my daughter’s favorite teachers was Miss Tovar, second grade at Roosevelt Elementary School in Iowa City. Miss Tovar took great efforts to make her classroom special in every way. I brought treats for the Halloween party, accompanied by two-year old Jeffrey dressed in the bunny outfit. Beth is “Miss America 2002,” children are dunking for apples, and a pirate, rabbit, a turtle and tiger are also seen. Miss Tovar was the Tooth Fairy.
